Landing Page Optimization and SEO

Words are very important in a website, words are what are searched and how the website is discovered. There are different ways to optimize a website, including the way the website is structured, word choice in headline and writing, design of the website, images used. Everything should be relevant and speak to one selling point. When the website flows and is easy to navigate and use, this is when the website brings more value and opportunity.  A well set up website is one that will succeed. Analytics and google ads campaigns help with the success of a website through alerting of data. The landing page is what the audience first sees when they click the link, so it is extremely important that this is well designed so the viewer will become a customer and their interest will be retained. SEO, or search engine optimization is how users will find and use the information on a website. Links, headlines, and ...

ROI Optimizing Ad Performance

I realized I didn’t set up my keywords correctly, I cannot find where they were created. So that's been frustrating. I got the analytic tracker up and running and my website is finally live, where before it showed as coming soon. My website still feels pretty bare, it needs more work and hopefully I have been completing everything as I am supposed to. Running the campaign was pretty easy up to the end where I was supposed to select the dates to begin and end. For some weird reason the dates would only show the past and not the future, so I couldn’t fill that out. I am certain my google tag and my analytics conversion were installed right, so they should run correctly. I am worried I will have issues with my blog with receiving clicks since I’m not sure I completed everything as they were meant to be done, so my website might struggle to succeed.

On that same note, quality scoring matters. Higher numbers are good and suggest that the company is doing well and should continue down that avenue they are heading. Low numbers are worrisome and demand attention if the company is going to succeed. Quality score determines popularity of the website, if the website is tough to navigate, customers won’t come to the website, if information is unclear or hard to find, customers won’t come, if colors clash and the website is hard to view, c...

Google Ads and Keywords

This week we discussed how to know if a keyword planner is bringing value or decreasing value to the website. Good keywords are keywords that are very specific to the topics of the website, while bad keywords are keywords that are very broad and possibly come up for categories that the website doesn’t even talk about. Keywords are super helpful tools when used correctly, but when used poorly keywords can hurt the profitability and success of the website.  We also learned about campaigning ads and compared different keywords and campaigns in spreadsheets. Playing around with keywords in keyword planner or taking their suggestions can be a good tool. Budgeting what to spend everyday is necessary since this will break or make a business. The general budget looks like it is around $3, but I think I will be doing roughly around $4. Before paying for google ads, it is smart to decide which keywords are going to be involved, this will be a key factor bringing traffic to the webs...
